As a Network Marketer, You’ve heard it a Million times,

“The Money is in the List”

And that’s The Truth. Any Marketer with Half a Brain and some common sense, knows you need a List.

Without one, you have no Business, Period.

But how do you generate a List the size of a small country so that you can literally command money to you at Will?

Let’s Face it, there are many ways to drive traffic to your site, but Using Solo Ad Ezine Advertising is one the Most Powerful strategies of them all.

I’d been pretty shy about using this particular strategy for a while just because I knew that there had to be a few moving parts working together in order for it to work and I’ll admit, I was pretty intimidated because I didn’t want to go broke testing ads.

If you haven’t figured it out already, as a marketer, you must test, test, test and then test again.

It’s 10pm on a Friday Night and Sally calls you because she can’t get her autoresponder going.

So since Sally is in your downline, and you can see the dollar signs in your head from the amount of money you figure she’s worth to you, you cave in, and hold her hand through the whole process and get her Autoresponder going.

It’s Sunday 3:15pm, and you’re out having lunch with the family, and Joey calls in the middle of the bite of your 7 layer burrito, to ask you if you can direct him to where he can find the training regarding the Pay Per Click campaigns to start getting his stuff going, and you scarf down your bite, excuse yourself from the table, tell your family you’ll just be a second, and then go on to find a quiet corner in the restaurant to guide Joey through the process.

Listen, when I first started, and I admit, I am Guilty of  reaching out to my sponsor a little more than I should have just out of Pure Convenience, (and that is a Big No No.)

But the Big Moral of the Story here is that there is a fine line between Leading people on your team, and Enabling them.

When you enable people, which simply means, you are making it easier for them, (usually for fear that they will leave you if you don’t help them,) you are creating a “babysitting” environment and that is no good for them, or for YOU.

I know I’ve hand holded way too much in my time, simply because I thought I was helping people if I did that, and because I felt “sorry” for people because they were new,  but the truth is, I was creating a co-dependency among some of my team members and that’s not what Leaders do.

HOW I SOLVED THE PROBLEM:

First thing I did was to align myself with Sharp Leaders and watched how they handled prospects and team members. Because they didn’t do any handholding, or promised that they would, they simply would not attract people like that. They generally attracted people who were READY to build the business independently.

Second thing I did was Purchase and Listen to a phenomenal Course by Mike Dillard entitled, Black Belt Recruiting. Black Belt Recruiting drills the skills necessary to become the type of Leader who attracts Business Builders, and how to Develop the Posture that will allow you to easily spot and reject prospects that will only waste your time.

As a Mother of 3 Children, as with prospects, sometimes you just have to say NO. It’s not good to recruit everyone, and it’s not good to spoil them and let them know that you will do WHATEVER THEY NEED, and you will be at their BECKON CALL.

Amateurs Sell. Leaders Sort. That is So True…

It actually felt Great to Reject a prospect the other day, after a brief phone call, even though it meant losing a few hundred dollars because the Aggravation that prospect would have created, was not worth the Money I would make from him. (Keep that in Mind!)

Leadership simply means that you provide guidance and direction, and there is nothing wrong with being new, but there are new people who are out there who are willing and able to jump in there no matter what, and do what they have to do.

This is a BUSINESS, and we are big boys and girls.

And if you have a System set up, like the Marketing Super Funnel, where prospects or team members can simply go back, plug in and get to work, there should be no need for hand holding at all.

Personally, my tolerance for baby-sitting has reached it’s limit, and I realized that in order to attract independent, self-driven people, I would have to project the same.

Thankfully, I have attracted quite a few Leaders in the last few months, which goes to show that, by learning and then applying what you learn, you will achieve the results you were after, and attract the people who are ready to go to work!

Why oh why is it that nobody tells you when you join an online business opportunity, that you’ve got to know how to market. So many people are quickly disollusioned because they think that once they plunk their money down on a new online money making business opportunity, that they will just have to sit back and let the replicated website do the work.

Well I’m here to tell you the down and dirty truth about how it really works. And how do I know? Because when I first started my online  home based business, I plunked down $2000 dollars and had no clue how to market.

Picture it this way.

Starting a new Business Online is exactly like opening a brick and mortar store. The only difference is that, there is much less overhead, but the basic premise is the same. You can have a cash register, a location, and a bunch of products, but with no customers, you’re out of business.

So here are 5 Sure Fire Ways to start marketing online to drive traffic to your New Business Opportunity Online

1. Article Marketing - Article Marketing just may be one of the most powerful forms of marketing I have implemented in my business online. It’s free, and if you do it right, it will generate a ton of traffic.  You must keep targeted keywords in mind when writing your articles. So lets say, for example, you are writing a review on a particular business opportunity, make sure to use the business opportunity name in your keywords, in your title and in the body of the article to make sure that your article is relevent enough to appear in the search engine results when people are looking for reviews on that particular online business.

2. Press Releases: Much Like Article Marketing, Press releases are also a great way to get the word out about your business. Not only are the a great way to brand your busines, but it is the fastest, easiest way to brand yourself online. Just write a few Press Resleases about yourself, and start getting your name out there. People will want to know who they are dealing with, and they WILL google your name. TRUST ME ON THIS ONE! I have a counter that monitors my traffic, and my name is googled all the time, crazy I know!

There are several free press release sites out there that are completely free. At first I thought Press Releases were reserved for news media! But I quickly found out it’s a great way to market your business online as well. Why? Because content is King, and people are always searching for information online. This is why Article Marketing and Press Releases are so powerful. They are viral and they satisfy the hunger for people who are searching for information.

3. Pay-Per-Click. Done right, pay-per-click can be an extremely powerful method of advertising, in some cases, providing instant results. However, PPC must be done carefully and strategically, or else you can lose a lot of money fast. I know, because I lost $500 in less than two weeks in my first attempt at google adwords. You must make sure that you set your pay per click at a cost that will provide a good return on investment. Here’s an example, it wouldn’t make financial sense to bid a dollar per click on a product that you sell for $49.00 and only makes you 30 % Commission. You would have to have like 1 our of 20 people buy the product to justify the expense. Forget it. So if you have lets say, a ticket item of $200.00 you can easily bid $1.00 per click because it usually takes 100 clicks to get 2 people to buy the program. and at $200.00, you will still make $300 profit. Do the same thing with a $49.00 product for which you only earn $39 bucks, and…well….you do the math.

4. Video Marketing: This is how I made my “claim to fame”. I did video marketing and made thousands upon thousands of dollars doing it, but you gotta do it right. There are two kinds of videos I used to get traffic and to brand myself: Traffic Videos and Content Videos. Traffic Videos consisted of just 1 or 2 minute quick little videos with keywords and descriptions whose sole purpose was to drive traffic to my sites. A Content Video will run about 5 minutes or a little more, and they are usually used to teach someone a lesson, share valuable information, or do a screen capture tutorial of some sort. Video is super powerful, period.

5. Last but not least. there is Forum Marketing. This is also free, and is really a microcosm representation of what Networking is really about. It entails going to forums and joining in the conversation by way of adding valuable input to existing conversation threads. The cool thing about forum marketing is that you get to meet and network with new people, and you utilize the signature line to point to your primary opportunity. Now, you have been warned, don’t jump in just to blabber about your opportunity. Respond to a post with real substance. Or start a thread that adds value to the community, poses a question perhaps, or just comment about things that interest you that pertain to the genre of the forum.

There are a million ways to skin a cat (I know that’s gross..it’s just a saying!) but the truth of the matter is, is that at the end of the day, what matters is you want to get as many people to visit your website as possible and then it simply comes down to a numbers game. You can expect that out of ever 100 people that opt-in to your list, 3 will buy.

It’s all over the papers, the News and every other media outlet known to man. The BIG RECESSION. Houses are foreclosing, big financial institutions are collapsing and people are losing their Jobs.

Now I’m a firm believer of creating your own reality (perception is reality) and you can turn a blind eye and refuse to see what is looming before us, but the problem is that if the masses believe it, it becomes the predominant consciousness of the planet.

We make it even more real.

With that said, anyone who is determined and resourceful, will find a way to make money, even if they have lost their job. As a matter of fact, people who have lost their jobs can see this as a blessing in disguise.

I remember, back in the day, when I was 22 I was working for an SOB Boss at a Construction Firm. I was the front desk receptionist at the time. This man was the meanest, tightwad I’d ever met. So much so I suffered from stomach problems when I was working for him. Just the sight of him made me nervous sometimes because I didnt’ know if he was going to lash out or what! But I desperately needed the job, or so I thought.

During the time I was employed by him, I had purchased my first car all by myself. And 2 days later, I was called into his office and I was fired.

At first, I was freaked out. What was I going to do? I had just bought my car and I needed to pay my rent. Well long story short, I had 2 weeks off, which I used to hang out at the beach, and my next employer contacted me, letting me know he was hunting me down after he found out I was fired. I ended up accepting the position he offered, making more money, and had better hours. Oh yeah, and my stomach problems disappeared.  It was a blessing in disguise.

So if you happen to be reading this right now, and have a job, or have lost your job, think to yourself, how can this situation be a blessing in disguise?

Network Marketing is The Blessing

Maybe back in the day of Amway and selling vacuum cleaners door to door, or going to Tupperware parties, wasn’t really the most practical thing to do. I know I hate selling, so parties and meetings are definitely not my thing. But with the advent of the Internet, all doors have opened and anything is possible, and people are flocking to the internet to find ways of making money.

People will have to push through their skepticisms, thinking that the internet is a SCAM. Which is one of the good lessons losing ones job will teach people. It will force them to think outside of the box, and entertain different ways of making money.

For a short period in my life, after I had my first son, I was a virtual telephone operator answering, and taking orders over the phone, for a large Telecommunication Corporation. When I first told my husband and brother that I was going to take classes to learn how to become a telephone operator from home, they both told me that it was a scam. And I completely ignored them and went on my way, and took my classes. NOTHING was going to keep me from staying home with my baby, and this seemed to be the answer to my prayers.

Well, after I started making an average of $950 a week, which back then was great money, and from home, nonetheless, they both had to eat their words.

There are so many benefits to starting an at home business, that to stay in a job where you can get fired is just as big as a risk as working from home.

As a matter of fact, I see it as a bigger risk because you just NEVER know when you will get fired. When you working for yourself, like with Network Marketing, for example, you will get paid on your efforts. So as long as you are taking constant action, and continue to learn and educate yourself, you will make money in Network Marketing during a recession, when everyone else is running around wondering what they are going to do.

I’ll tell you, if you are on the outside looking in, there’s a good possibility that MLM and Network Marketing appear to be a SCAM. I can see how the average person can think that. Hmmmm, I can make  upwards of $1,000 per day, I have people under me who pay me a part of their commission, I only have to put in about 20 hours a week of work, and I’d never have to work for someone else again.

Well, of course it’s the Shock of the year if you’ve been conditioned to work 9-5. make an average of $40 grand a year, and hopefully get some sort of social security when you retire at 65. Geez!!

Think about it, did anyone, or any teacher tell you about MLM or Network Marketing as kid in School? Chances are, the answer to that question is a resounding “NOPE”.  Anything that is outside of what the “mainstream” does, is, unfortunately, disregarded and labeled as a Scam.

Are there MLM Network Marketing Scams out there? Absolutely, but just like anything else in life, it is ones responsibility to do their due diligence. I mean, think about it, how many times do people accept the “perfect “DREAM” Job, and it turns out not to be what they expected. You don’t hear people calling it a scam, they just go out and look for another Job.

And speaking of jobs, if  you want to talk about Scams, how about working for someone else for the rest of your natural life, paying upwards of $50,000 for a college education, that will maybe land you a job that pays around $35,000 annually, and then promise you a nice retirement, to only get shafted of your pension by having it slashed by 25%. Now that, my friends, is a scam. I know because it happened to my Dad. He was a faithful employee for 25 years for a MEGA Corporation, and on the day he retired he got a handshake, a thank you, and a cut in his pension. Ahhhh, the good ‘ol american dream.

People must wake up to the reality. People need to start thinking for themselves and realize that just because we are told something, it doesn’t make it true. You have the ability to create your own reality. And believe me, if you don’t do it for yourself, someone else will do it for you.

MLM and Network Marketing is a wonderful industry. It’s one of the only industries that you can truly leverage the efforts of others yet still create an environment of team support and leadership while everyone strives for the ultimate goal of wealth and time freedom. A J.O.B. (Just Over Broke) does not allow for these benefits.

One of the biggest problems I see is that people are so wrapped up in the illusion of “Security”.  They feel that only a paycheck is “secure”. Newsflash, have you ever heard of anyone who has worked faithfully for a company for 16 years, only to be fired with no notice, no severance, and no other real skills?

This is reality.

MLM Network Marketing allows you to have just about anything you want, as long as you are willing to take the chance. People literally can lift the ceiling on their incomes and make income on what they truly are worth, not just for the exchange in hours that they put in. If you are settling for a job, or have tried Network Marketing and haven’t given it your all, you are selling yourself short.

Now, here is why MLM Network Marketing is NOT a scam. Because if just one person tries it and succeeds, then it is proof positive that you can do it. It’s that simple.

You can easily generate FREE LEADS that are Interested in your products without you having to cold call, buy your way into the top levels of your organization, or harrass your friends and family.

There are FREE methods and paid methods, and if you use both at the same time, you will end up generating more leads than you know what to do with.

1. Social Networking. There are several social networking sites like Myspace, Facebook and LinkedIn just to name a few. The purpose behind setting up a profile in a social network site is to network with people who may be interested in your business. A good place to start would be to search for friends who have common interests as you do. You can do this by conducting a search right on MySpace. You can enter words such as “Athletic” “Weight Loss” or target groups who may have a genuine interest in the products you have to offer, such as “stay at home moms” or “dieticians” for example.

The key is to find the people who are already buying the same or similar products that you are selling, and to place yourself right in front of them. But don’t go in there and start pitching your product because that is a big NO-NO in Social Networking. The idea is to network and start building relationships on these sites, and place your links strategically so that people passively click on your links to your site as they get to know you better.  Also keep in mind, just because people don’t join your business, doesn’t mean they are not valuable. You just never know what those networking relationships can evolve into.

2. Article Marketing. Article Marketing is very powerful. Although it can be a time consuming task, once your content is out there. It becomes viral, and it will continue to work for you 24/7 365 days a week. Simply write articles that have to do with your products, and the benefits, or case studies or personal stories about what your products have done for you or other people. Make it “keyword” rich, and you are as good as gold.

3. Video Marketing: There is nothing more powerful than video marketing, in my personal opinion. But you must take a conservative approach to doing it. In other words, you can’t just go out there and start pitching people on video. You must offer VALUE by way of information or coaching and training, and then include links in the description of your videos for people to contact you.

4. Pay Per Click Advertising: Want instant Results? Pay Per click advertising is surely the way to go. But doing it the wrong way can be DISASTROUS. I personally lost $500 in less than two weeks when I first tried it. Thanks to educating myself and learning from some of the most influential marketers on the internet, pay per click is no longer an issue for me, as a matter of fact, it has been profitable. But you have to know what you’re doing. Do it right, and you can get instant results and red hot leads for your Monavie Business.

It’s a Micro-Blog because you are only allowed to write up to 140 characters per post. So you have to make it short, to the point, and make sure it’s either valuable, or make it a little personal. Why? Because the internet’s very nature, breeds suspicion. People want to know they are doing business with a “real person” and not a scammer. So updating with some personal stuff gives your potential lead or others some insight into your life and who you are and inspires trust. This is super important. Make sure to add a personal photo of yourself and not your company logo. People want to do business with people not their company.

Keep this in mind, my Monavie friend, that when you purchase leads, they are more than likely “Generic Biz Op” Leads. They are not necessarily interested in any particular business and are more than likely just shopping around for information. Why spend $1-$5 or more on someone who may not even have any interest in the nutritional field whatsoever!
