The Money is in the List…Is it really?

Look I know everybody says the Money is in the list, and Yes, to an extent it
is, but if you analyze this more closely, you’ll realize that the money is
actually in a list of Proven Buyers, people who have trusted you to atleast
give you one dollar, have made an agreement with you, and therefore are more
likely to purchase from you again.
Don’t believe me?
Let’s take a look at some statistics.
Out of a List of 100 Highly qualified Leads, 16 Made a $1.00 Purchase.
After their $1.00 Purchase, they “agreed” to make an additional $39.00
Purchase, a $17.00 per month commitment, a subsequent $47.00 commitment, and
have invested in tools and training that will help further their online
ambitions.
So the bulk of the profit, came from people who were willing to spend $1.00,
while the others sat idle in the subscriber database.
This goes to prove, that the money is actually in a list of “Fans” and not just
on a List of “numbers”.
Grant it, the Law of Averages is bound to take over, once you have enough
numbers rolling in, but the point of the matter is this…
If you can make your customer make a series of “small” agreements, $1.00,
$15.00, $20.00, they are more than likely to justify their “decision” to invest
their money, by continuing to make purchases that will in fact prove why they
made the first buying decision to begin with.
Some deep psychological stuff, but it’s true.
One more thing, it is more profitable, in the long run, to get 20 people to
invest 20 dollars, and back end larger ticket items, than it is to get them to
invest in a $3,000 straight off the bat.
And I’m not referring to MLM. There is usually no Big Ticket Back End in MLM.
I
‘m speaking about a front end, retail item, where you can pocket cash up front
then back end bigger ticket items, and ultimately, place them in your MLM.
I learned this from one of my mentors, and I have proven this to be true.
There will be those who will invest the $3,000 but if you want a bigger number
of “fans” your pricepoint is best suited where Most people can get into your
sales funnel.

As the economy starts to take a downward sprial, understandably many people are
rushing to the internet in the hopes of creating a second income or a passive
income online, especially in multi level marketing.
The truth of the matter is that although multi level marketing can produce a
very substantial and lucrative income, allowing one to enjoy loads of free time
and incredible lifestyle, there are still 5 secrets that anyone who is
considering getting into multi level marketing should know straight off the bat
if they want to enjoy success in multi level marketing.
1. The Learning Curve. There is no secret that there is a 97% Failure rate in
this industry. only 3% of people that get into this industry, actually make
money. Fortunately, the author of this article happens to be one of them. But
it was no walk in the park. There is a considerable learning curve in the multi
level marketing industry simply because it is, for most, a completely new
career, and as with anything that is new, one must learn new tactics and
strategies in order for their business to be successful.
2. Marketing. It’s very exciting to embark on a new journey of starting a multi
level business, but not so fast. The excitement will die down, as soon as one
realizes that in order to have longevity in this industry, one must learn how
to market properly. Marketing, contrary to the “traditional” methods of mlm,
does not mean hounding family and friends, and strangers to join your new
multi-level business. Marketing requires many skills including Communication,
the ability to place classified ads, do pay per click advertising, article
writing, just to name a few or atleast the ability to delegate these tasks to
an outsourcing resource.
3. Lead Generation. Contrary to traditional multi level marketing training
methods, where traditional upline leaders instructed their downlines to
purchase expensive leads, and then pound the phones all day, the new
modern-day, Internet Age systems are designed to produce Cashflow and Leads
even before anyone joins your MLM. Why? Because multi level marketing was not
designed to produce big wads of cash upfront.
4. Cashflow. Training courses, autoresponders, and multi level marketing
coaching are just a few of the things you need to run your multi level
marketing business. Are you currently making any money off these items?
Probably not. Did you know that you could instantly create a 2nd passive
residual income by recommending these items to your downline or to the
prospects that say “no” to your primary opportunity? Big beginners mistake. All
the top producers earn on the production of their downlines as well as to the
prospects that say no to their primary multi level opportunity. This is one big
secret that needs to be let out of the bag, once and for all. Multitudes of

Are you Running a Business… or a Babysitting Service?

It’s 10pm on a Friday Night and Sally calls you because she can’t get her autoresponder going.
So since Sally is in your downline, and you can see the dollar signs in your head from the amount of money you figure she’s worth to you, you cave in, and hold her hand through the whole process and get her Autoresponder going.
It’s Sunday 3:15pm, and you’re out having lunch with the family, and Joey calls in the middle of the bite of your 7 layer burrito, to ask you if you can direct him to where he can find the training regarding the Pay Per Click campaigns to start getting his stuff going, and you scarf down your bite, excuse yourself from the table, tell your family you’ll just be a second, and then go on to find a quiet corner in the restaurant to guide Joey through the process.
Does any of this sound familiar???
Listen, when I first started, and I admit, I am Guilty of reaching out to my sponsor a little more than I should have just out of Pure Convenience, (and that is a Big No No.)
But the Big Moral of the Story here is that there is a fine line between Leading people on your team, and Enabling them.
When you enable people, which simply means, you are making it easier for them, (usually for fear that they will leave you if you don’t help them,) you are creating a “babysitting” environment and that is no good for them, or for YOU.
I know I’ve hand holded way too much in my time, simply because I thought I was helping people if I did that, and because I felt “sorry” for people because they were new, but the truth is, I was creating a co-dependency among some of my team members and that’s not what Leaders do.
HOW I SOLVED THE PROBLEM:
First thing I did was to align myself with Sharp Leaders and watched how they handled prospects and team members. Because they didn’t do any handholding, or promised that they would, they simply would not attract people like that. They generally attracted people who were READY to build the business independently.
Second thing I did was Purchase and Listen to a phenomenal Course by Mike Dillard entitled, Black Belt Recruiting. Black Belt Recruiting drills the skills necessary to become the type of Leader who attracts Business Builders, and how to Develop the Posture that will allow you to easily spot and reject prospects that will only waste your time.
As a Mother of 3 Children, as with prospects, sometimes you just have to say NO. It’s not good to recruit everyone, and it’s not good to spoil them and let them know that you will do WHATEVER THEY NEED, and you will be at their BECKON CALL.
Amateurs Sell. Leaders Sort. That is So True…
It actually felt Great to Reject a prospect the other day, after a brief phone call, even though it meant losing a few hundred dollars because the Aggravation that prospect would have created, was not worth the Money I would make from him. (Keep that in Mind!)
Leadership simply means that you provide guidance and direction, and there is nothing wrong with being new, but there are new people who are out there who are willing and able to jump in there no matter what, and do what they have to do.
This is a BUSINESS, and we are big boys and girls.
And if you have a System set up, like the Marketing Super Funnel, where prospects or team members can simply go back, plug in and get to work, there should be no need for hand holding at all.
Personally, my tolerance for baby-sitting has reached it’s limit, and I realized that in order to attract independent, self-driven people, I would have to project the same.
Thankfully, I have attracted quite a few Leaders in the last few months, which goes to show that, by learning and then applying what you learn, you will achieve the results you were after, and attract the people who are ready to go to work!

So Where does Confidence, especially in Network Marketing come from?
I know I struggled with this for a while, and admittedly, have had my bumps in the road in my growth as a Leader in this industry.
My confidence has come from both Applying the things that I’ve learned and then TEACHING it to others, as well as from the realization that what may seem as a “temporary Failure” or mistake, is simply to be taken as a learning experience and continue to move forward.
There’s a saying, “What doesn’t Kill you makes you stronger” and boy I’ll tell you, Network Marketing is definitely a Training Ground which reveals WHO YOU ARE to yourself and To the World.
Keep Going, Learning and Applying, then go out and teach.
You’ll develop an unshakeable confidence that will attract multitudes of people to you!
And don’t let little things get in the way, don’t let them stop you. Always remember that there is someone less knowledgeable than you who is waiting for you to rise up to Leadership and Show THEM the way.
