Have you seen this commercial up on Youtube Yet?
It’s got absolutely NOTHING To Do With Chocolate…
It’s About 2 Kids sitting waiting for their Photo Shoot to Start, but, when the photographer is distracted and the brother switches Freestyle’s 1989 track Don’t Stop the Rock, the siblings begin to let their eyebrows start to dance in sync with the music before the girl finishes the by squeaking a balloon.
Now here is where you SERIOUSLY Need to pay Attention:
According to the AD AGENCY that created the £3.7 million (British Pound) Commercial for the Cadbury Chocolate Giant,
“…, we asked the agency, Fallon, to create another ad that would make people smile and feel good, as if they were opening a chocolate bar and taking that first bite.”
Notice the Commercial DOES NOT Sell Chocoloate Directly to the Viewer…
The Commercial Sells The “GOOD VIBES” The Feeling one would have after Purchasing Cadbury Chocolate. This takes us back to an old addage that says, “When people are buying drills, they are actually looking to make a hole”…
In otherwords, what is the RESULT people are looking for?
And how can you tweek your marketing so that your potential BUYER has a certain Feeling attached to your product?
Also think about this: The MIND and the psychology behind marketing is extremely profound and totally GENIUS in this commercial.
What is going to happen the next time you hear that Catchy little Old Freestyle Tune?
What may you do the next time you go to a party, and see a balloon?
Or even go to a scheduled Family Portrait ?
If you either, hummed to the tune, or played with the balloon, or giggled at the portrait studio, then CADBURY has definitely done it’s job!
Why?
Because all these elements of the commercial have made a lasting impression in your MIND, by giving you a Feeling that you now associate with the Cadbury Chocolate Commercial.
Case in Point: All I have to do is just play a snippet of the song, and my OWN KIDS will make a MAD DASH to my office because they KNOW that I’m playing the commercial on my Computer.
They Associate the Music to the Commercial.
Just as WE associate eating chocolate with Fun and Goodtimes – Make Sense?
By the way, the “Cadbury Eyebrow Kids” Commercial went VIRAL to over 4 Million Views, with Celebrities like KANYE West Posting it to his Blog and Shows and other random people making SPOOFS of this commercial and uploading them to Youtube.
It’s become so incredibly INFECTIOUS that Cadbury has also partnered with mobile operator Orange (also a Fallon client) to give away the commercial’s soundtrack as a mobile ringtone. This was downloaded 125,000 times in the first 11 days.

This commercial had NOTHING, Absolutely NOTHING to do with chocoloate.
