Today was my 8 year old son’s birthday, we had a busy day planned to celebrate, but before we left, I was committed to my Team to hold a Training call with my business partner, Tracey Walker.

We were talking about Video Marketing, our upcoming co-op and all that jazz. It was a really great productive call.

There was a new gentleman on our team named Derek.

Derek found Tracey and enrolled with her and immediately started posting away on our Training site. and he was actively participating on the call.

The thing that really touched me the most, is a post he wrote on our Team Blog that I retured to, after celebrating my son’s birthday the rest of the day. I want to post it on my blog, because it really is special….

For the “good” of Team Prosperity

Hello to the entire Team Prosperity community.

My name is Derek Scott and I am from Chicago, Illinois, USA.

I personally want to thank Ms. Tracey Walker and Ms. Barbie Figueroa for making this community possible and accessable to all of us.

Needless to say because I already see signs of it within the group, I challenge each of you and of course that includes me to help Tracey and Barbie continue to make this community the Starchild of all communities.

How you might ask? I challenge each of us to give to this community the best of our knowledge, skills, encouragement, perspectives and success stories such that we enable this entire community to grow to the maximum of both our individual and collective potential.

President Kennedy stated in a public address – “Don’t ask what the country can do for you but ask what can you do for your country”.

Well for Team prosperity I envision a community where we are one big mastermind community that can benefit each member from whatever level they happen to be starting from and accelerate their learning curve to the point that they are operating at their own peak performance level.

Daegan Smith has given us all a chance of a lifetime to soar to our highest potential in the world of internet marketing with a roadmap across a mine field full of boobi-traps. My question for each of us is why not make Team Prosperity the community that puts all of its members on the fast track to becoming Success University top acheivers. It would be a great story to tell. Who knows, we might be able to get Matt Morris to drop by our “neighborhood”. The great news is because of the leaders we have in Tracey, Barbie and Daegan, there is not much for us to do but apply it.

So ponder this thought for a moment…Bill Gates, one of the riches men in the world was a asked a question during an interview, “Bill, what do you attribute your success to?” Bill said, there were three things that contributed to his meteor success. First, it was Timing, he was on the brink of something new that the world had yet to figure out its value and luck had a lot to do with that. Second, he had Vision to see the potential of where things might go. Some might look at an Acorn seed and say this may become a tree, but he was able to see even further beyond the forest to a myriad of industries or a virtually limitless potential. Bill then, pause to say that many people were also in the that same place and at the same time to be at the brink before it happened and see the potential of where things might go. Bill concluded by saying that the one thing that separated him from all of those who were in the same position as he was in was that he took Massive and Immediate Action . By getting out front, he has never had to look back to see what everybody else is doing because everybody wants to see what he is doing.

We got something that is very good here with Team Prosperity. Let’s take full advantage of this precious opportunity to change the course what it means to be a team in the world of marketing and promotion. And let’s have some fun. …

After I read his post, I felt such an incredible feeling of gratitude, because beyond the money that this industry allows us to make, behind all the advertising, marketing and technology, this industry is based on People and their ability to work together towards a common goal.

For the First time since being in this industry, I really took a moment to stop and think of my Leadership….my transformation, from the little shy web designer, who used to hide behind her computer and emails..who was petrified to do videos…to be known as a master video marketer and ..to be someone who has inspired a Team Member, someone who is not personally sponsored under me, no less, to take the time to write such an inspiring post.

This my friends, is what this industry is truly about. The people and the relationships behind the business. I am forever grateful for the opportunity to inspire and empower others to also make their dreams come true.
