How to Photograph your Weightloss Transformation. This is the part the most of my Challengers HATE The Most, but the truth of the matter is, that the SCALE will NOT be your best friend during a Beachbody Challenge Transformation… Why? Because your weight will fluctuate as you begin to build muscle and shred inches from your body, and that doesn’t always translate as weight lost on the scale. (Sorry Ladies, if you wanna see drastic weight on the scale ASAP, You need to go get a Slim Fast or Something!)

As you can see from my pictures below, I’ve only lost but a few pounds, but the Changes in my body (putting on muscle and toning up my lower half) are Obvious, in only 30 Days on the Les Mills Pump Challenge Pack!

 

Another thing to consider is that your Weightloss Transformation is Success Story in the Making. If you have any intention of ever becoming a beachbody coach, then your Transformation pictures can equal money in the bank.

Stories Sell and your Transformation story will attract many others who are looking for inspiration, motivation and help to get results too!

And one more thing, one day, you will learn to LOVE your Before and After Photos…

So Here are the 8 Standard Photo Poses you should Take for an accurate accounting of your Beachbody Challenge Transformation.

“How to photograph your weight loss transformation”

  1. Keep a Simple Background
  2. Do atleast 4-5 Poses
  3. Take Photos on Day 1, 30, 60 and 90 (You’ll be amazed at the progress between day 1 and the later days!)
  4. Start Facing Forward with your hands to your side in a relaxed position.
  5. Also do a pose with your hands lifted out to your side
  6. Show off your Guns in the Bicep Position..
  7. Then Turn around and do the same poses from the back
  8. Then do 2 Side Photos, one from the left and one from the right
  9. Then do an angled pose where you are slightly at a side view!

  • Remember to use a good Camera.
  • Don’t use a crappy cell phone picture as your before and after pictures.
  • Also, get someone to help you out!
A Self portrait with your iPhone every now and then to share your progress on facebook is ok every now and then, but to track your official progress, make sure you take proper photos.
I’ve seen way too many photos that are just not accurate simply because people are twisting their bodies in awkward positions to shoot pictures of themselves in the mirror with their Smart Phone!
Don’t Do this for your Progress pics please!!!

    Awesome! I have so many challengers that have taken the wrong poses and had to go back and retake them. It’s so important to get the right shot with the same clothes so you can see a the difference. Great post!

    I am so bummed that I blew this one. I was embarrassed by my before photo and only took about two. Then I did not track my progress. A terrible shame. Thank you for the post.

    People don’t realize how important it is to take photos the right way. As you said, you can’t just rely on the scale. Pictures say it all. Great explanation and tips!
